I spent the last two days on the “slave to the grind” type stuff. Soooo I checked this video out for an energizing boost. These guys get really inventive, you can’t help but be impressed, get outta your chair and dance!
On a super hot Sunday, my friend and I went to the Bele Chere Festival. Over 300 vendors take over the city and try not to melt as they sell their art, crafts, and foods. There were also a couple musicians like Menage and Brothers Fatback. The entire event attracts families and friends alike. I had a total blast taking photos and chatting with folks about how their sales were. Now I just have to figure out if I want to do this event next year with my gear.

Each necklace is created from a bamboo tile which is covered then in rice paper, then lovingly hand painted with original artwork. Then each piece is protected and made into a necklace. These little bamboo lovelies are so cute, you simply will love your new necklace!

Calliope is the muse of epic poetry from Greek Mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and is best known as Homer’s muse as the inspiration for the Iliad and Odyssey. She is always depicted with a tablet or roll of paper, and/or wearing a gold crown.
This beautiful glicee print, of an original illustration by Little Lina, is available to order here. There will only be 50 prints made, as of today, 2/50 are available. The dimensions are 17″w by 11″h and it is unframed.
Visit Little Lina’s Lovelies Boutique to see a select group of dreamcatchers available for purchase. These change often because of limited availability of the components due to the seasonal changes.
Lovely Dreams
Dreamcatchers are meant to hang above the bed. It is believed by some the Dreamcatcher protects the sleeping from nightmares by catching bad dreams in the web, to disappear with daylight, while good dreams filter through.
My dreamcatchers frames are made with willow branches. The web is created with a variety of natural cording, usually hemp or cotton. The beads vary from different colored glass to different wood or bone. And all feathers have been picked up off the ground and cleaned with antibacterial soap. I will sometimes use silver wire and pieces to attach beads and feathers, but most of my dreamcatchers are from 100% natural materials.
July 22, 2008 : Knoxville, TN – Smokey Mountain Tribute
As a member of the Art & Craft Guild of the Smokies, I attended this event and set up my little area at a private event for the Water Professionals Conference attendees and their families, hosted by KUB at World’s Fair Park in Knoxville. This event was so much fun and KUB did an outstanding job. The entire event was fabulous, even if we had some light showers. Enjoy looking at some photos from the event, whilst I reminisce the baklava from one of the cook-off participants!
