Yes this is the latest Dawn Doll in my line, it might look simple, but she hasn’t been. It’s a new dress pattern, and since I am doing these dolls from my own patterns, they take me time. I do think she’s adorable in this super soft, almost luxurious cotton dress.

I did this doll design in concept as my 2008 Christmas Cards. I was very happy with it as an illustration and I am considering selling prints of it.
Also on my plate I’ve been doing a small series of Valentine’s Day ornaments that I’ll sell on inspirelements.etsy.com. They are porcelin and are decorated with vintage keys I picked up on our trip along the World’s Longest Yard sale. The ornaments are in the all important drying process and I’d think it would be going faster since we are burning wood in our home, getting the air all nice and dry. But, it’s not going very fast. So I hope to show you those Sunday or Monday.
In the mean time, head on over and check out my friend Raven Girls’ ADORABLE Valentine’s cards. They are on etsy, and they are just so cute!

Today it snowed finally! A long, beautiful snow. I finally got my day to enjoy it. So I snatched up my camera and headed outside. I was taking this photo…

and I panned right to see this little guy! Grover’s fox friend who still roams around our yard - I swear looking for Grover.

Oh Grover, how we all miss you.

Drum roll please!
I’m super happy to announce that I’ve created my first etsy store for my personal project, Dawn Dolls. Visit the etsy shop at http://dawndolls.etsy.com or visit the blog dedicated to the project at http://dawndolls.blogspot.com.
In between working on Dawn Dolls, I’m doing some Valentine’s Day ornaments. I can’t wait to show you those, but as they are still under construction in my newly renovated, fabulous studio, you will have to wait just a tiny bit longer.

Take a look at this FANTASTIC gift I received from my wonderful friend over at Raven Girl’s Nest. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this, she does such amazing work. I can’t wait to get it hung outside of my studio. The same studio I am redecorating, I have to say it’s coming along wonderfully. But this piece is truly the icing on the cake, thanks Ravengirl!

Let’s kick off 2009!
Today I launch Dawn Dolls. These lovely dolls, hand-made by me, are based on a beloved friend who died of Cystic Fibrosis. Proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. You can learn more about them here – dawndolls.blogspot.com and they will be available for purchase here very soon!
Here’s a little preview … enjoy!
